CANADA

Orders shipped within Canada are subject to federal and provincial sales taxes based on the shipping destination. Since Oliver Jewellery is based in Toronto, shipments within Canada do not cross international borders and are not subject to customs duties.

UNITED STATES & INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

All orders shipped outside of Canada — including to the United States — are final sale and non-refundable.

By placing an international order, including U.S. orders, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are importing goods into your country of residence for personal, non-commercial use.

  • You are the Importer of Record and are solely responsible for complying with all applicable import regulations, documentation, and tax obligations.

  • Oliver Jewellery is not liable for any customs duties, VAT, tariffs, taxes, brokerage fees, handling charges, or additional assessments imposed by customs authorities in your country.

Prepaid Duties Option

In some cases, we offer the option to prepay estimated duties and taxes at checkout. When selected, these amounts are remitted to the designated carrier or customs broker on your behalf.

However, prepaid duties are not a guarantee of full customs clearance. Some countries may reassess the shipment at the time of entry and impose additional import fees beyond those collected at checkout. These unexpected or excess charges are outside of our control and remain your sole responsibility as the recipient.

Oliver Jewellery does not reimburse, refund, or credit any customs-related charges under any circumstances.

Customs Brokerage Authorization (U.S. Only)

For U.S. shipments, you authorize Oliver Jewellery to appoint a designated carrier or customs broker as your unpaid agent for the purposes of clearing your package through U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Your order serves as your electronic signature authorizing this limited power of attorney under Section 485 of the Tariff Act of 1930:

“The designated carrier/customs broker is hereby authorized to execute, as an unpaid agent who has knowledge of the facts, pursuant to the provisions of section 485(f), Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, the consignee’s and owner’s declarations provided for in section 485 (a) and (d), Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, and to enter on my behalf or for my account the goods described in the attached invoice which contains a true and complete statement of the facts concerning the shipment.”

Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

If your shipment is refused, returned, abandoned, or undelivered due to unpaid duties, import restrictions, incorrect address, or refusal to accept delivery:

  • You will not be refunded for the product or shipping cost.

  • Additional return shipping, customs reversal, or restocking fees may apply.

Disclaimer of Liability

Oliver Jewellery shall not be held responsible or liable for:

  • Customs clearance delays;

  • Charges imposed by customs or third-party carriers;

  • Loss or confiscation of goods due to local import restrictions;

  • Any resulting damages or losses due to delivery refusal or customs issues.

By placing an order, you confirm that you understand and agree to the terms of this Shipping Policy and accept full responsibility for any costs, procedures, or risks associated with importing goods into your country.
